I want to see the progress on the new led technology. They use hardly any electricity, and they generate very little heat. The electric bill is a big concern for me, California passed a cap n trade bill that takes effect in january 2011. This bill will cost the surfboard production side and material side a lot, I will need to save every where I can. Of coarse I would do this anyways, but I would have waited for LED lights to come down in price, and go up in performance.
Ok well there is a lot to talk about, so I will start with Hamilton Lighting Technology. I always loved thier product, and it looks like I will love there product for a while to come. They had a nice booth, it displayed some of their LED lights, Metal Halides, power compacs, and T-5s. I personally prefer metal halides, but if I were to change it, I would go with Hamiltons T 5s. Remember thier product is made in America, and thier head quarters are in L.A. county / Gardena city, Southern California. So super good service and accessability.
Ok I also went to the Hydor booth, this company has been up to some cool designs. I have always liked thier power heads, but now that they are gearing them towards wave timer control units, I think these guys could take over the market. First, I do not own stock with hydor, I dont even know if they are public, but as a coral and marine fanatic, I love to see new, improved and practical products. Thank you Hydor
