I remember getting up early and driving down to the dougnut shop, I would pull the LA Times or a Daily Breeze off of the rack and head straight toward the weather forecast( I think it was on b-3). Back then, that was all we had to see what future waves were coming, Surfline was the paper, and dont even think we were informed on what degree they were coming from. That was way to advanced back then, what we got was more like a 24 hour guessing game. So that was it, and surfers were off to find their own surf, their own way. I remember how great it felt when we laid our eyes on wonderful surf. Now it still is great to find good surf, but now, you kind of know what your getting before you get there. It just does not feel the same to me, but that is today and that is my opinion.
Surfline is great, but sometimes so is suprise.
